The Quadra Island Foundation (QIF) exists to help Quadra Island thrive – culturally, socially and environmentally. It was established as a public, charitable foundation to support a more resilient and self-reliant community and works to help preserve and enhance the unique qualities of Quadra through grant funding and building community capacity. QIF was incorporated under the BC Societies Act on August 18th, 2020, and received charitable status on March 3rd, 2021. Also in 2021, QIF became a member of the Community Foundations of Canada, the umbrella organization of almost 200 community foundations across Canada.
Project Overview:
The Quadra Island Foundation is requesting proposals from individuals and organizations with community building competencies, including strong group facilitation skills, to facilitate a one-day community workshop with not-for-profit organizations who serve Quadra Island. The community workshop is scheduled for February 24th, 2024.
Project Goals:

- highlighting collaboration opportunities that may enhance outcomes, streamline efforts, and/or reduce demand on a limited volunteer base.
Scope of Work:
- Market and communicate event to target audience (e.g. not-for-profit organizations).
- Prepare an outline for the event including but not limited to identification of resources and materials, facilitation workplan, workshop activities and evaluation processes (e.g. participation feedback and ideas for future improvements).
- Facilitate all activities associated with the workshop.
- Draft final report that includes learnings and recommended next steps.
